Kern Park will be getting a $1.5 mil revitalization. They will be adding a splash pad, a restroom, walking trails, picnic tables and improved green space. It will be a great improvement for that neighborhood. Go Heights just did a campout at Peaceable Kingdom. There were 35 campers. There are many children and adult classes at the Activity Center and Recreation Center. There are youth and adaptive sports programs year round. Basketball will be starting, & bowling is a favorite. Coaches are always needed as well as all other volunteers for all the programs. Sponsorships are also available. The Senior Program is at the Rec Center with a variety of classes and activities. Granny Basketball is a favorite with a game against the staff. Special events coming up are the Farmers Market, Dec 5th Christmas tree lighting, Nov 2 Dia de los Muertos at Carl Levin Park, & Dec 14 Frost Fest.
