HH Kiwanis Club Meeting 07-30-24

Speakers: Officer Crystal Thomas & Sgt John Howell

Topic: HHPD Community Services The community service officers bring many programs to the public. The best way to understand what the police do every day is to participate in the Citizen Police Academy. It is a 6 week course. Class is 2 times a week from 6-9 pm. After completion of the course “ride along” is available to those who want to see first hand what the police do. Other programs available are: House Watch, Blue Santa, National Night Out, Neighborhood Watch, Kiddo Cards, Civilian Response to Active Shooter Class, Child Passenger Safety, Sex Offender Registry. They also visit the schools to educate the students with age appropriate information to help them to be safe. For more information contact the community service officer at 254-953-5411
