Members of the EHMS Builders Club and HHHS Key Club received the Presidential Service Awards signed by President Donald Trump for their service hours to their school and community. Well over 500 attended the awards program in Killeen. The Builders Club performed over 3000 hours of service and the Key Club and Interact Club had over 900 hours of service. Builders Club member Vanessa Jeurrissen had the most overall hours for students in the 11-15 year age category and received a special plaque.

Kiwanis members Mariko Cross & Vivian Marschik, Faculty Advisor Lisa Burden, parent, Mrs Hogue and members of the Eastern Hills Middle School Builders Club visited with Indian Oaks residents and brought them little gifts to brighten their Easter. The residents loved the Easter plush animals, flowers, pinwheels and wind chimes. It brought smiles to a lot of faces today.

Members of the Kiwanis Club, EHMS Builders Club & HHHS Key Club braved the cold and the wind to represent our clubs in the annual Killeen Christmas Parade 2018 "A Texas Christmas". Our theme for our group was Harry Potters Big Texas Christmas Adventure.

Builders Club members helped wrap over 120 boxes that will be part of the decorations for the scholarship fundraiser sponsored by the KISD Foundation, TAMUCT & CTC.

Members of the EHMS Builders Club help load the truck with donations from their school and from HEB that was being taken directly to the Harker Heights Food Care Center. After that they traveled to the Killeen Special Events Center to work the remainder of the day sorting food that will be taken to the main Food Care Center in Killeen.

Kiwanis members Lisa Youngblood, Norm Dunbar & Vivian Marschik, Faculty Advisor Lisa Burden with Builders Club members Alana & Jordyn and Key Club members Sam & Ian braved high winds to clean up the waterways in the Harker Heights Community Park. The 3 Kiwanis Family Clubs have "Adopted" this community park.
Then Norm Dunbar cooked up eggs for the breakfast taco brunch.

Builders Club members participated in Make a Difference Day at the Stewart C Meyer Public Library. The Friends of the library held a book sale that benefits the library children's programs. Students helped customers with many hundreds of books all day.

Builders Club members met at the Stewart C Meyer Library after school for a Face Painting Workshop taught by Kiwanis member and Director of Library Services Lisa Youngblood. The club members will be able to help out at the children's library programs painting faces for the younger children. They had a great time and learned a new skill

Members of the HHHS Key Club and the EHMS Builders Club along with Kiwanis Advisors Lisa Youngblood and Vivian Marschik volunteered at the Super Hero Day at the Stewart C Meyer Public Library. SLP members helped the children with games, crafts and photo ops with all the Super Heroes at the library.
