Members of the EHMS Builders Club and AVID class helped sort over 50,000 lbs of food during the time they were at the Killeen Special Events Center. This is the main collection point where all the local donations are brought to be sorted by each type of food (corn, beans, cereal etc). Then the food is taken to the main warehouse where it will be allocated to families or each of the smaller food banks such as the one in Harker Heights.

Harker Heights Kiwanis Members Dick Dinwiddie, Norm Dunbar, David McClure, Lisa Youngblood & Vivian Marschik along with members of the Eastern Hills Middle School Builders Club and the Harker Heights High School Key Club participated in the 2019 Killeen Veteran's Day Parade. This photo was taken just before the "Fall cold front" blew in. In a matter of minutes everyone was scrambling to get coats, hats, scarves and gloves on. It started sprinkling rain and the wind was blowing all the leaves from trees near by in our faces. In no time it went from the upper 60's into the 40's. The parade started off with a bang! We Texans survived the cold front to finish the parade without losing anyone . :-)
