Eleven members of the EHMS Builders Club celebrated the end of a very successful year of service to their school and their community at Summer Fun Water Park in Belton.

Members of the EHMS Builders Club held a school wide fundraiser for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. They held several types of activities to raise the money such as hat day 4 Fridays, tape the principal, assistant principal and a teacher to the wall at the lunch periods. Olive Garden partners with the organization to offer a free pasta lunch for the classroom who raises the most funds. Mrs Ross's 7th grade class raised over $300! Builders Club members wait in line to personally serve lunch to each of the students in the class. They had spaghetti with marinara sauce, breadsticks, tossed salad and drinks. The class who raised over $200 was treated to an ice cream social and the 2 classes who raised over $100 were treated to donuts and juice for breakfast. They met their goal of $2500 raised.

Members of the EHMS Builders Club, HHHS Key Club, BC Sponsor Lisa Burden, Kiwanis members Vivian Marschik & Norm Dunbar did an Earth Day/Adopt-a-Spot Park cleanup up/cookout at the Harker Heights Community Park. Invited guest were HHPD Community Service Officers Crystal Thomas and Peter Quichocho. The Officers had a great question and answer sessions with the students.

Builders Club members Kayla & Imanol joined Kiwanis members David McClure, Charles Sweeney, Mariko Cross, Darrel & Anne Marie Charlton and B. C. Advisor Vivian Marschik and Faculty Advisor Lisa Burden to bring some Easter cheer to residents of Indian Oaks Nursing Center in Harker Heights.

A.P. Mr Burns gets taped to the wall in the cafeteria to raise money for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society that partners with Olive Garden. Members of the EHMS Builders Club & HHHS Key Club have been very busy with service projects for the Stewart C Meyer Library and the City of Harker Heights Halloween Hoopla candy bagging.

The 2016-17 EHMS Builders Club did a fundraiser at Chipotle in Market Heights. Thanks to the Chipotle Team and the patrons that came out to eat there, they raised $586.25 that will help support their leadership training and community service planned for this school year with their faculty advisor Lisa Burden and Kiwanis advisor Vivian Marschik.

Batman Day at the Stewart C Meyer Public Library was a huge success due in part to the volunteer efforts of the EHMS Builders Club, Kiwanis sponsor Vivian Marschik and the HHHS Key Club along with library staff and volunteers. Library director Lisa Youngblood (Kiwanis member) invited Batman (center) and his entourage of Green Arrow, Bat Girl, The Huntress, Raven and Cat Woman to visit with the children.
